In addition, please let us know if you use Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazoroc or Avita Cream near your eyes or if you are taking Acutane for acne or have been on Acutane during the past year.

It is important that you not schedule a waxing within 3 days of an important event and that they always call us if any skin irritations or disruptions occur after your waxing. This will better enable us to assist you during your skin's recovery process. Waxing generally takes between 30 minutes to an hour for this service depending on the areas treated.

Microdermabrasion

This process is sometimes referred to as the "Lunchtime Peel" because you can have it done in about thirty minutes and return work immediately without anyone noticing. Microdermabrasion uses microscopic crystals to gently exfoliate skin. We combine it with a soothing mask on your face to let you relax and experience with the pampering you deserve.

For best results, patients purchase a course of weekly sessions to improve acne, mild acne scars, sun damage and photo-aged skin. Microdermabrasion is safe to use on all skin colors and types. It can also be used to enhance the effectiveness of a topical skin care regimen. These can be combined with a chemical peel to achieve maximum results. Our aestheticians can advise you on what is best for your particular situation and skin type.

Chemical Peels

If you would like to improve the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, freckles or melasma, a chemical peel may be for you. We offer several different types of chemical peels that are safe for all skin types and colors. Chemical peels can help to clear acne and reduce the appearance of acne scarring.

Light Peels - begin with a light exfoliation and application of our unique gel peel. Light peels can improve the clarity of the skin while diminishing age spots and the appearance of uneven pigmentation by removing the uppermost layer of skin cells. This results in a more even skin tone  and reveals a younger, healthier you!

Chemical Peels - begin with a very deep exfoliation of the skin and application of either glycolic acid or AFA (amino fruit acid) to the skin. These peels are best done as a series to achieve maximum results.

Combining microdermabrasion with a chemical peel has helped many of our patients achieve their best results. For best results a series of treatments spaced over several weeks is recommended. Our aestheticians will evaluate your skin and your goals and  advise you on what is best for your particular situation and skin type. Please allow at least one hour for your first treatment and 30 minutes for subsequent appointments.

Botox Cosmetic®

Botox is used to prevent "dynamic wrinkles" or "expression lines" from forming every time you smile, laugh, squint or frown. It can even help smooth out those little lines along your lips caused by years of smoking. Botox works by relaxing the underlying muscles so that they do not contract to form wrinkles. Depending on the area treated, the effects of Botox can last two to four months. Treatments are done as needed.

Juvederm®

Juvederm has proven to be an excellent product for filling in nasolabial folds or “smile lines” creases of skin which run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. We also use it for lip augmentation and to fill in hollow places or scars on the face. Juvederm treatments results in a younger, more refreshed looking face immediately and can last up to six months depending on the patient and the area treated.

Radiesse®

We like to use Radiesse for long term applications such as plumping up deep lines, hollows and acne scars. Correction is obtained immediately following the injection. Results may last for one year or longer in some situations.

Sclerotherapy Leg Vein Treatment

Sclerotherapy is an injection therapy for spider (tiny red and blue) veins that can form on the face and legs. It can also be effective in some of the larger bluish veins in the legs. During the procedure a sclerosing agent is injected into the veins which causes them to close down and seals them off. Over time the vessels disappear as they are absorbed by the body. We use a very tiny needle so there is little discomfort involved. Several veins can be treated per visit.

Following your sclerotherapy you may have some transient bruising and/or discoloration. Our physician will recommend that you wear compression stockings a 2 weeks following your sclerotherapy.  If multiple treatments are needed, we will space them in four-week intervals.

Laser Vein Treatments

Lasers may be the best treatment for very tiny and/or resistant veins as well as veins around the ankles. The number of treatments needed depends on the severity of your condition.
